Emerson The office for Academic affairs publishes two publications each summer. The first is in honor of the years faculty accomplishments. The cover design above reflects the feeling of achievement through energetic colors and commanding typography. The second is for the schools summer reading and viewing experience. This publication is distributed to incoming freshmen and contains material wrapped around a theme. The issue for 2002 was based on the movie by Spike Lee called Do the Right Thing and readings by Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Hand-drawn type on asphalt captures the mood of the movie while the white type on black with a crack running through the composition represents the opposing views of King and X.
